The bulk of our day was spent driving. We headed out at 8:30 in the morning and our first stop was to drop off the dogs. After that we traveled through North Carolina, Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, Delaware, and finally landed in New Jersey at 11 PM. The drive was spent listening to music, playing family trivia, Kindle time, Nancy drew movies, and staring out the window. Jay had the last second idea of driving into DC! Yes, with our camper attached! To say it was an adventure would be an understatement. After circling the National Mall we finally found a parking lot that could accommodate our camper near the Jefferson Memorial. We enjoyed our Chick-Fil-A picnic in the grass in front of the Jefferson Memorial and then walked around. It was a perfect side trip!
