Day 9 Lazy Day

On a long trip you need a lazy day (aka laundry day).  Thankfully this day was cold and rainy so it was the perfect opportunity for Jay to take the girls fishing and I could clean up the camper, which by this time looked like a scene from hoarders, and do laundry.  Side note, take a roll of quarters when you go on a long camping trip.  I loved our campground, but the coin machine was broken and they ran out of quarters in the store so after a mad scramble that included making change with a neighbor camper, I finally had $9 in quarters to do three loads of wash and two dry cycles. After they got back I was getting cabin fever so I decided to take the free bus into downtown Bar Harbor and walk around ALONE!!!  This gave me a chance to enjoy the stores and pick up some souvenirs.  Jay and the girls drove down and we finished up the day enjoying the shops and then having dinner at a restaurant our rock-climbing guide had suggested.  If you are ever in Bar Harbor, make sure to eat at Café This Way.  It was delish and yes I had another lobster roll.In perusing the “thing to do” newspaper, Jay stumbled across an ad for a magic show.  After some research we decided it would be fun for the girls.  Moscow Mike is an amazing magic show and with only room for 50 people it was an intimate setting with some incredible magic.  They girls loved it!
